Dr. Bernardini received her M.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Pisa in 2017, and obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2021, winning the Best Italian Ph.D. Thesis in Theoretical Computer Science prize, awarded by the Italian Chapter of EATCS. She spent one year as a Postdoc researcher at the Centrum Wiskunde en Informatica in Amsterdam, and she is an Assistant Professor at the University of Trieste since January 2022. Her research interests lie in theory of algorithms and their application in bioinformatics and data mining.
