Lorenzo Castelli

Prof. Lorenzo Castelli graduated in Electronic Engineering (1997) from the University of Trieste and holds a PhD in Transportation (2002) from the same university. Since 2019 he’s associate professor in Operations Research. His research activity focusses on productivity analysis and mathematical optimisation applied to logistics and transport, with emphasis on various aspects of air traffic management, including market-based mechanisms for slot allocation and pricing mechanisms to redistribute traffic across the European air network. Lorenzo has managed several research projects, acting as Project Leader of one H2020 project, and as University research group leader for 5 EC (H2020, FP7, FP6) funded projects.
